tight knitted

As promised, a post on recent purchase. Yup, it's a teeny weeny one but I can't wait to wear these Forever 21 knitted shorts which are slightly ethnic, tribal looking. They are just so cute I had to bring them home. A perfect combo with my Club Marc boots that I've conveniently forgotten. Already imagining them with leggings - nice and cozy. Topped with green polish and I'm good to go.

Making Waves Part II
I know I've not been posting much from last week. Been bogged down with work, and battling a nasty flu. But there'll be more pictures on purchased apparel once I get better. Promise.

Lusting - Art of the trench

The Burberry Nude collection trench coats are simply stunning. Timeless stylish and elegant, I am totally lusting for them! They look like the perfect companion to the autumn Europe, don't you think so?!

Making Waves
It's pictures like these that make me wanna plunge myself into hair of no return. It's unfair how celebs walk away with lovely, dreamy waves on short locks, while in reality, (most) real girls don't get away with it.
But I can dream a little I suppose.

(after) lunch twit

Yup, this was meant to be a lunch time post but I got caught in a meeting that overran. It's almost tea time. Never mind about that now, I shall go straight to what I came here for.
To be honest, I really haven't heard of H&M, not until early last year when Jun told me she got some jeans from the store in Japan, and even then, I wasn't sure what type of clothes they carry, their target audience etc. But of course, now I do. The opening of the very first store in Singapore created such a hype, people were queuing overnight outside the boutique waiting for its opening the next day. I may get into trouble for saying this, but I don't really get what the fuss is about. Initially. However, browsing its Singapore website, I too get caught up in the autumn spirit of thick sweaters and dark colours. I shall now wish for more rainy days here. Came across these cute babydoll dresses while exploring its site. I'll explore the real deal soon.

my trusty levis

It's been quite a while since I last bought a pair of Levi's. I used to buy almost a piece each month when I got my pay check while working in the boutique during school holidays, which my ex-colleague thought was silly. I saw these a few weeks ago and never really planned on getting them, but they went on sale last week. So I believed it was a sign. That's what I always say.  I love the almost tie-dye effects on these, with the low-waisted and skinny cut for that rugged look. I can see these going many ways with:

1. mad colourful sneakers for a hip-hop beat
2. shades, clean white tank and Dr Marts for that stranded in desert look
3. thick, comfy sweater in the sweetest of warm shades for a walk in the park during fall
4. trench coat with knee-high boots in winter, sophistication with a touch of playfulness

I wish there are seasons in our little tropical island, that'll give us more options other than turning to flip-flops and shorts by default.

They've modified the leather patch to a smaller, feminine one.

The rivets remained but they are now without the brand's embossments.

But the red tab never dies.

Cotton sought comfort in these as well.

cherries everything

I know many think it's pretty tacky to have too much of the same thing on at a time, too royal-ish (you know, same colour from hat to toes). But I just love to pile on all my cherries possessions at the same time. Cherry tank, cherries papillos and cherries ear studs. Recent picnic at Marina Barrage with friends. Group pic taken by Jean, stolen by me, thanks babe!

windows of the soul

Just a quick one for lunch break. Stumbled upon this pic of Taylor Momsen. I know it sounds weird to say that I'd like limp hair, but I love the silkiness and obedience of it., at least when it comes to keeping it down.
Anyway, the point here is: Awesome intensely lined eyes - black filled "in" the lashline, and smudged lightly under. I've never managed to do this with pencil or crayon liner. Smudges even before I leave the house. Jun would probably say this can be easily achieved. Learnt something from her last week, use Maybelline Gel Liner.
For that matter, I've never seen her so hot before.

*winks*
